Position: Banking & Finance Lawyer (2–4 Years PQE)

Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated Banking & Finance Lawyer with 2 to 4 years of relevant post-qualification experience. The role involves advising on a range of banking, finance, and debt capital market matters, including drafting and negotiating financing documents, supporting corporate transactions, and advising clients on related issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting and reviewing facility agreements and security documents
- Advising on banking regulatory and compliance issues
- Conducting legal due diligence and preparing legal opinions
- Assisting with structuring and executing financing transactions
- Liaising with clients, external counsel, and financial institutions
- Assisting with and participating in the Firm’s business development and marketing efforts, including client pitches, attending and speaking at seminars, researching and writing articles and attending business related functions
Candidate Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a Law degree (LL.B) from a reputable school with strong academic track record, and be admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia
- 2 to 4 years PQE in banking and finance, preferably from a reputable law firm
- Ability to work independently
- Strong legal drafting and analytical capabilities
- Familiarity with Malaysian financial regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English; proficiency in Mandarin will be added as advantage
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and transactions effectively
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a passion for innovation and developing new ways of supporting client-facing lawyers in the firm
- Highest standards of professional ethics, integrity and judgment.
